Catch-and-Release Fishing Lake

Anthem’s four-acre catch-and-release fishing lake is stocked with Red Ear Sunfish, Black Crappies, Blue Gills, Channel Catfish, and Large Mouth Bass. Residents may fish in the lake with barbless hooks only.

Daisy Mountain Railroad

The Daisy Mountain Railroad is a 24-inch gauge railroad located in the Anthem Community Park at Anthem. Featured during the ride is a trestle across a small lake, a tunnel through a faux rock outcropping, lush green landscaping, several sparkling water falls and an eye-catching playground for young children.

The motive power on the line is provided by a steam-outline engine built by Jerry Shipman of J&E Enterprises in Chandler, Arizona. The engineer sits in the locomotive cab as the motor, which is actually in the tender, pushes the locomotive along the track. Three comfortable and well-built coaches and a caboose fill out the rolling stock roster.

Anthem Skate Park

The Anthem Skate Park offers 14,000 square feet of concrete skating area with a 1,500-square-foot bowl that's six feet deep. It has several grinding rails, jumps and a couple of high banks. The skate park is open from 7:00am to 9:30pm in the summer and 8:00am to 9:30pm in the winter. Pads and helmets aren't required, but they are strongly recommended.

Anthem Golf and Country Club

Located in the quiet beauty of the high Sonoran desert foothills, the Anthem Golf and Country Club offers 36 holes of championship golf designed by Greg Nash, two full golf practice areas with all-grass driving ranges, short game areas and two large putting greens. Exercise every aspect of your Anthem golf game on the sprawling courses featuring dramatic elevations, great views, multiple bunkers and large undulating greens all set against a mountainous, Sonoran desert backdrop.

The Persimmon Course and the Ironwood Course both stretch more than 7,200 yards from the back tees and are true desert layouts. The more traditional Persimmon Course features a signature 18,000-square-foot double green that concludes both the ninth and 18th holes. The more challenging Ironwood tests low-handicap players, in particular when they arrive at the “Anthem Corner,” the 10th through 12th holes that play around water to a par of 4, 3 and 5. The Sonoran Desert, saguaro cacti and beautiful foothills provide a lush backdrop for the 36 holes of golf that Anthem offers and is a perfect match for your passion for golf.
