A year in Anthem is packed full of exciting, fun things to do. Enjoy the variety of community events including Anthem’s annual signature events such as Anthem Days, Music in May concert series, Independence Day Celebration, and Autumnfest. Be sure to check out the online calendar for a listing of all community events. It is the best way to experience Anthem!

 

Holiday in the Park
December 7, 2012
5:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m.

Celebrate the diversity of what the holidays have to bring at this year’sHoliday In the Park event  on Friday, Dec. 7, from 5:30 – 8:30 p.m. at the ACC Community Park. Gather with friends and family where the park will be aglow with festive lights and ornaments, including 300 luminaries lining the paths, and activities that will get every age into a holiday spirit:

  • Create multi-cultural holiday-themed crafts
  • Listen to holiday carols sung by Musical Theatre of Anthem (MTA)
  • Ride the Anthem Polar Express at Daisy Mountain Railroad
  • Sip hot chocolate while enjoying holiday sweets
  • Take pictures with Santa

Tickets are $29 for a family of four (plus $5 per each additional child), $15 per couple, and $9 per individual adult. Children under 1 year old are free. Tickets can be purchased in advance or at the door. For more information: 623-879-3011, or visit the ACC Community Center front desk.

Anthem Days
March 9-10, 2013
10 a.m.-4 p.m.

People come from all over the valley to enjoy the family-friendly festivities available throughout the weekend. In addition to the Business Expo and Craft Vendors, some of the more popular attractions include Emma’s Run (10k/5k run/walk, Eggstravaganza Egg Hunt with the Hippity Hop band, live musical entertainment, Frazier Shows Carnival, food court with the Rotary Beer Garden, and OSR Physical Therapy’s basketball hoop shoot contest. This is Anthem’s premier event and truly showcases the local community.

Music in May Concert Series
May 3, 10, 17, 24, 31, 2013
7 p.m.-9 p.m.

Bring your blanket or lawn chair, your picnic and your family, sit back, relax and enjoy the music of the night. There, you can enjoy the starry sky, the cool evening breezes and great music by four different bands each Friday night that play everything from country and rock ‘n’ roll, to rhythm and blues, and pop.

Independence Day Celebration
July 3, 2013
6 p.m.-10 p.m.

Why celebrate Independence Day on July 4th like everyone else, when you can do it two days early? That’s what we’ve done and continue to do with our Independence Day shebang: kick off the party on July 3 so residents can enjoy multiple July 4 celebrations in one weekend rather than having to pick just one to attend. Features such as live entertainment, fantastic festival food and a fabulous fireworks display makes this Independence Day Celebration one you definitely don’t want to miss.

Autumnfest
October 26-27, 2013
10 a.m.-5 p.m.

This event is a celebration of all things Fall. This event activities include an Arts ‘n’ Crafts Fair; a Pumpkin Patch to purchase and decorate pumpkins; Kids Zone with inflatables, Eurobungee, pony, barrel and hay rides; live entertainment; food court and Rotary Beer Garden; Frazier Shows Carnival; a Hot Chili Cook-Off, an Apple Pie Baking Contest among other fun-filled activities for the entire family to enjoy.
